The Barr Enterprise Print Server (BEPS) runs on Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000, or Windows 2003. While some customers have successfully implemented BEPS in conjunction with VMWare, it is not designed for, nor supported in a VMWare environment.

For customers wanting to use VMWare in conjunction with Barr print management and document delivery products, we recommend migration to the Barr Enterprise Output Manager (Barr EOM). Barr EOM supports Microsoft’s clustering technologies, has the functionality of BEPS and adds features like Failover Printing, Quota Management, Page Modification, and Web and Email delivery for documents.
