When you install a printer in your work environment for the first time, the printer configuration will be based on a default configuration used by BARR/PRINT to Metacode. Thus, you should modify the configuration according to your environment.
BARR/PRINT to Metacode supports different types of ports and job format profiles. Each port can be connected to different print devices and environments. Depending on the device and environment that connects your workstation to the Xerox high-volume printer, you must use a specific job format profile supported by BARR/PRINT to Metacode. This requires adding ports and selecting the appropriate job format profile for your device and environment.
Although you can install BARR/PRINT to Metacode in a computer having the minimum system requirements, performance will improve as you increase the computer's processor speed, operating system, and memory.
